Today in the shower I was thinking about young people and their love for lo-fi. I myself am one of these young people - I have forgone my digital camera for a Fujifilm instax, my record player gets more use that is probably usual for the 21st century, and my typewriter sits happily on my desk in all its inktape glory.
I wonder why it is we come so far forward in technology that makes everything...

Next week, being my last week of holidays, I am going to:
Do my Wentworth Falls walk.
Go to the beach.
Sit and read in a lovely book cafe.
Read two more books.
Go to the Art Gallery. Or a museum. There are plenty about.
Go back to that pesky building called the gym.
Sleep in!
Spend a whole day in bed. Watching Bones.
Okay, I’m probably going to have to combine a few of...
Damn it, my life is about to become very busy again and I don’t feel I’ve done enough with my holidays. Quick, emergency beach/mountains trip! I need a few days of summer before I’m tempted away from lectures by the sunshine.

During this show, he previewed a wonderful animated short about a young man named Stormy who lives in a magical world that is threatened by the oncoming darkness. It was fantastic - like a fairytale built around some of the best songs of Cat Stevens - and...
3:10am. Not sleeping. I think I need to go on a sabbatical. I’ll leave my phone and everything, then disappear into the wilderness and return refreshed and ready to take on another year. If only.

I’m officially a member of District 1. May the odds be ever with me at this year’s Hunger Games. What’s your District? http://www.TheCapitol.PN
(I feel like I’ve betrayed my District 12 and 4 loyalties)
The next sunny day that comes along, I am going to pack a picnic rug, a thermos, and all the books I’ve not yet read, and I am going to disappear somewhere up the mountains or down the coast and enjoy my final bits of holiday freedom before I find myself stretched over a gazillion things this semester.
I’m just beginning to realise what I’ve gotten myself into this semester....

The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore
One of five nominations for the 2012 Academy Awards’ Best Animated Short category, this film inspired, in equal measures, by Hurricane Katrina, Buster Keaton, The Wizard of Oz, and a love for books, “Morris Lessmore” is a story of people who devote their lives to...

Home alone, watching the Sound of Music, drinking a green tea latte out of a TARDIS mug. Aww yeah, Friday night is party night!
Love this scene, it makes me feel so patriotic… to Austria.
So my dog just tried to take a USB stick out of my computer while I was still using it. How awkward that would be to explain to work.
